2010 Vauxhall Astra - Interior Revealed

While the exterior is still clearly an Astra, the new interior of the 2010 Vauxhall Astra borrows heavily from the Vauxhall Insignia and is a marked improvement over the outgoing Astra. The central theme of the new interior is Opel's "wing and blade" motif that combines geometric shapes and smooth curves for a very modern look. Setting off the new styling is careful use of GM's new favorite trick, accent lighting. While we find the new interior quite stylish, we're a bit turned off by the button-heavy center stack. The steering wheel many will recognize from the upcoming Chevrolet Cruze, which the Astra shares its platform with.

The new interior is more than just a pretty face, though. Opel spent a great deal of effort on rethinking its interior storage spaces for maximum practicality. Highlights include a hard case for sunglasses above the driver's door, a center console storage cubby that can hold nine CD cases, an optional drawer under the passenger's seat, a two-compartment glove box that can be turned into one large compartment and has a separate, smaller, secondary glove box below it, more cup holders front and rear and special storage for coins and pens in the glove box. The Astra also gets a special pocket in the rear storage area for a first aid kit as well as more under-floor storage space.

2009 Lexus LS 460 L (MSRP $74,410)

The LS model put Lexus on the map in the late 1980s, back when it was a brash newcomer trying to prove it could compete with large sedans from BMW and Mercedes-Benz. It did so, with ease. And now, roughly 20 years later, the LS remains the company's flagship, with the 460 L long-wheelbase model doing a great job of competing with the Germans and keeping the cruel world at bay.

That's right, this Lexus is an isolation chamber, incredibly quiet inside and smoothing out all but the harshest bumps in the road. What's more, it's a spacious car, especially in the back seat, where three adults can sit in good comfort, all while being treated to some rich sounds from the Mark Levinson audio system, which is way better than the stereo in most homes. This car exudes quality inside, and the powerful V-8 is strong yet silent, just the type of engine you want in a luxury ride.

The Levinson sound system is part of a $4630 option package that includes the "Advance Parking Guidance System." Yes, this Lexus will parallel park itself, provided you line the car up correctly and operate the brakes as instructed. We think it's a bit gimmicky, but that's the only aspect of this incredibly opulent Lexus that makes us furl our brow.

Five Reasons To Buy:

1. Lexus quality

2. Extremely quiet

3. Mark Levinson sound

4. Lexus Link communications

5. Power rear seats with optional Luxury Package

luxury yacht which can take away your breath

Yes in this blog we show only luxurious car but when we saw this luxury yacht we could not control and want to share with our visitors as well.

Name of this luxury yacht is Infinitas. This luxury yacht is 300 ft in length and showing the real meaning of infinity.

[Press Release]

Infinitas is the second design launch of Schöpfer Yachts. Our new 300 foot (91.5 meter) luxurious yacht was designed by E. Kevin Schopfer with Sparkman Stephens, Naval Architects. The design’s main inspiration comes from the symbol for infinity which has been abstractly expressed within the luxurious yacht’s elevation. The two major features of the yacht asserted by this closed loop infinity symbol are achieved by carving out stern and mid section elliptical deck constructs.

A central structural “spine” holds the loop together allowing the luxurious yacht’s superstructure to seamlessly flow within itself. The added benefit of “infinity” is the realignment of traditional functional areas. Within this realignment, the main deck living room, and dining room are detached. The dining room moves forward and is separated from the living room by a massive pool deck. This new deck location allows for the first time, direct access to dining room and kitchen for expanded activities, in combination with the living room/salon.

There are three methods to traverse the pool deck. First is a direct outside bridge / walkway which bisects the pool itself. This walkway has underwater openings in its support system, allowing swimmers to dive from one side to another. The pool has the option of being covered for larger venue needs.

The second method of crossing the pool deck is an overhead sky bridge which connects to the main stairs and elevator. The “sky” bridge is clear glass floor and ceiling allowing natural light to penetrate the pool below.

The third method is through a lower level lounge which features glass portals into the pool.

The main level contains the two aforementioned decks, living room, dining room, kitchen, storage, and bow deck (with helicopter pad). The interior design of the space, and others, reflects an intense minimalist palette with a dash of attitude. The main salon also features generous 12 foot ceiling height and fully glazed walls creating an island within this luxurious yacht.

The second level up is reserved for a series of guest suites and secondary bow deck. The owner’s suite occupies the third level with “sky bridge,” pilot house, and upper deck. All decks below are currently designated crew quarters, storage and mechanical, engine room activities. Infinitas is designed to accommodate 12 guests and crew.

Thank you to Tangram 3DS for all rendering images.
